Starting in May, I will be covering keyboards for Nashville-based country/soul artist Devon Heath. Devon - an up-and-coming musician in Texas before moving to Tennessee - has been a NSAI Top 40 artist, opened for top artists such as Reba and Kelly Clarkson, and logged thousands of performances as part of the Music City Rollin' Jamboree. To me his music evokes the vibes of Van Morrison and The Band mixed with flavors of gospel and folk, and I'm excited to be a part of helping him bring his music to life. Steve Named in "Ones To Watch" by NSAI Twice in Three Months
I'm grateful to be recognized by the Nashville Songwriters Association International and included in the February 2016 & April 2016 edition of NSAI EARS. NSAI writes that songwriters included in their "Ones To Watch" section "are being recognized by our evaluators as writers who are on the rise! These members have gotten the attention of our evaluators for their unique and promising writing skills. Keep an eye on these folks… they just keep getting better!"
New Songs & Demos in 2016
Be on the lookout in the coming weeks and months - I'll be posting out the occasional demos to give you a listen to what I've been working on since moving to Nashville, as well as songs that were written before the move but that didn't make it to my last album. And we'll start now with "As The Curtain Falls," a song I wrote about the passing last year of my friend Brett. Check out more new songs at the Music Page!
